mini zine workshop @ ТАКААРЕ' WAASHUT NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES BLACK WALNUT DAY
Join us in the celebration of the Southern California Black Walnut, Juglans californica in our third year at Ascot Hills Park. Our mission is to honor the Tongva peoples who stewarded this land long before many of us arrived; to support our native plant family, but specifically to celebrate the Southern California Black Walnut as a symbol of resilience. We move forward with the intention that our collective actions will advocate, defend, and nurture the community of Black Walnuts and marginalized communities throughout Northeast Los Angeles by defending against development and displacement.
* check schedule for different days and events. some hikes are early morning and habitat studies, propagations are on different days and the natural dye workshop is a two-part workshop. contact us on Instagram: @coyotl.macehualli // @nela_alliance
